Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Jump Rope for Heart)

Students brought home their pledge packets last week and are super excited after our kick-off assembly to start raising money for the American Heart Association. The Jump Rope-a-thon will be held March 13-14th.

For $1, you can come to school wearing something green (with jeans & uniform shoes) to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

Proceeds go toward the CRS Rice Bowl Campaign.


Our Lenten Journey Continues

Reconciliation: Thu, Mar 21, 9:00 a.m.

This is a time of prayer, fasting and abstinence, and almsgiving. We will be working with the students to create a meaningful Lenten journey for them at school and we invite you to be a part of it. There are many resources you can use to help you and your family come closer to Jesus during this time. Check our social media and website for tips throughout the season.


MSS Young Authors Night and Talent Show

March 27, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Begin the evening browsing our Young Authors Fair and perhaps you’ll meet the next Jack London or Suzanne Collins! Then stay and be entertained by our top performers. You’re always in for a treat with our Biennial Talent Show!

From the Art Department…

Learn to Cricut! Mrs. Myers will offer an introduction to the new Cricut die-cut machine and the latest technology added to the Art Department.

Europe 2020 is on! Join a group of MSS parents, students, grandparents, & alumni who will be taking Germany, Italy, & Switzerland by storm Summer of 2020. An info meeting will be held Mar 28th, 6-7p. Food provided! RSVP to Mrs. Myers  at kmyers@mothersetonschool.org.


IOWA Assessments Begin April 3rd

Please help your children do well on the standardized assessment and do their best to attend school each day during the test period. While standardized test scores are not the sole measure of a student’s progress, they are helpful in gauging their readiness compared to all students in their grade-level nationwide. Please refer to the enclosed flier for tips and strategies to help your student!

Report Cards come home March 19th!

PowerSchool will be inaccessible to parents until after the 19th. You may schedule individual conferences with your child's teacher if necessary.


Lions Club International News

We are grateful for the Lions Club to provide free vision screening for each student! Screenings will be held March 28-29.

Nomination forms for Lions Club Teacher of the Year were sent home last week. Our teachers work hard and deserve all the recognition we can get them! Please return the form with your nomination by March 15th and let our teachers know how they’re appreciated!
