A Message From The Principal

Dear Families,

I hope this note finds you and your family health and well.

The second of three Performance Series Testing windows began this week. All grade 1 – grade 8 students will participate in the testing. Parent score reports will be sent home with students in early February.

I have received several notifications that some families have not received our SwiftAlert announcements after receiving them previously. Because of this, we will conduct another system test on Thursday, January 13, at 7:00 PM. Please notify Terry Smith by email (tsmith@mothersetonschool.org) if you do not receive this alert.

We are currently planning for Catholic Schools Week. Catholic Schools Week will take place from January 30 – February 4. Please be on the lookout for our activity schedule.

After celebrating the end of the Christmas season on Sunday with the Baptism of the Lord, the Church is now in Ordinary Time. “Ordinary Time is a time for growth and maturation, a time in which the mystery of Christ is called to penetrate ever more deeply into history until all things are finally caught up in Christ.” (usccb.org) Let us use this time to reflect on our faith habits and find ways to move closer to Christ, show gratitude for the blessings in our lives, and live an active life in Christ.

Have a blessed week!

Sincerely,

Kathleen J. Kilty, PhD
Principal

WANDS FOR WILDLIFE - GREEN SCHOOL COLLECTION

*WE ARE STILL COLLECTING*

As part of our Green School initiative, middle school science classes are collecting used mascara wands for wildlife!

The wands are shared with wildlife caregivers to use in providing care and treatment to wild animals. They use the wands in many ways including direct care of the animals and help with cleaning items like syringes.

Before you throw your mascara away, please clean off the wand and send it in to Mrs. Kuykendall (Mrs. K). One simple step to help wildlife and be a good steward of the earth!
