Mrs. Reaver had her Pre-K 4 students "virtually" jumping and playing games with her when the weather outside wasn't cooperating enough for them to safely meet in person.

When parents pray the rosary, at the end of each decade they should hold the rosary aloft and say to her, ’With this rosary bind my children to your immaculate heart.’ She will attend to their souls. Saint Louise de Marillac
Thank you for your cooperation with our new arrival procedures. Beginning Tuesday, October 13, all first through fifth graders will enter through the main entrance. We will still have two temperature-takers and hope the reduction to one stop will make it easier on parents who have children in multiple grades. If this new process causes back-ups, we will go back to having two stops for first through fifth graders.
Deputy Whitehouse of our local sheriff’s department would like us to remind all parents that children must be seated and buckled properly at all times while in a vehicle. This includes when driving around the circle. Siblings of MSS students, especially, should remain seated and strapped in while the student exits the car. If possible, please move car/booster seats to the passenger side of your vehicle to ensure a safe exit and entry on the curbside for your child.
October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month. Please be on the lookout this month for ways Mother Seton School will highlight our Seton LaCroce Learning Center and how we educate students with learning disabilities.
Join Archbishop Gomez, the President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Bishops across the country, on October 7, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, at 3:00 PM to pray a rosary for healing and unity in our country. “In every age, Mary’s maternal care is an expression of God’s providence, his plan of love for history and for every soul. And in the troubles of this present moment, we need to entrust ourselves even more to her care.” (Archbishop Gomez)
We will have our first virtual Mass of the school year on Thursday, October 15 at 10:15 AM. I will provide link to you next week so those who are able can join us.

2020-2021 AOB Income Survey
The AOB will be using a google form survey to collect family income data for the 20-21 school year. This safe and secure electronic income survey will automatically collect a family’s data as they complete the survey and will allow us to collect the number of students eligible for free or reduced fee lunch.
Why is this important? These numbers will not only serve for the Title I submissions, but also can be used for textbook funding, grant requests, and allow for accurate reporting of our free and reduced eligibility at the individual school and county level. EACH FAMILY MUST COMPLETE THE SURVEY regardless of whether you believe you qualify for free or reduced fee lunch or not. Collecting family income data is also a requirement of MSDE and we must do so annually.
Visit bit.ly/IncSurvey2021 to take the survey. The survey takes approximate 2-4 minutes and must be completed by October 15, 2020.
- Wellness Forms must be completed before students may enter school each day. Please contact Ms. Kilty at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are having difficulty with the form.
- Please note: Though the form asks about a temperature higher than 100.4°, no person with a temperature of 100° or higher may enter the building.
- Mask Up! All persons entering MSS must wear a 2-layer cloth face mask. Bandanas and gaiters are not acceptable mask wear.
- Full lunch is offered Mon-Thu, with Pizza Day on Thu. Pizza orders must be placed on the Wed prior. All lunch charges will be billed home. No cash accepted.
- Students may wear their PE uniform on non-PE days through the first trimester. Please note, the winter uniform goes into effect on October 15. Students should switch to PE sweatpants at that time.
- PE involves running! Make sure to wear appropriate shoes.
- Remember to bring a water bottle each day. The drinking fountains are closed.
Please ensure you are set up to receive emails through both the SchoolAdmin portal and Constant Contact. Important information is distributed through both channels. Also, be sure to check the website regularly for announcements and other news, as well as for answers to your questions. We have an FAQ for uniforms, general info, and for Learning During COVID.
To reduce the amount of materials sent home, we will not be printing the Tuesday News until further notice. It will be distributed each week through Constant Contact email, as well as posted on our website.
If you have previously unsubscribed from receiving our emails, you will need to add yourself again by re-signing up HERE.
