It’s important to us to help all students achieve learning success. The Seton-LaCroce Learning Center is an instructional program that provides academic, social and consultative support. We identify students who require instructional support, assess those students' instructional needs, and then respond in a coordinated effort using academic support strategies and scientifically proven intervention programs. To learn more, visit our Seton-LaCroce Learning Center webpage.

A Message From The Principal

Dear Families,

Please welcome Mr. Stephen Kirby to our school community. Stephen is a first-year seminarian at Mount St. Mary’s. He will be on campus one day a week observing middle school religion classes and speaking with the younger students. Stephen is a graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School in Baltimore and the John Paul II Seminary at Catholic University in Washington, DC.

Many uniform items are still on backorder. Please visit the uniform closet if you need uniform items or if you have uniform items to donate. The uniform companies anticipate early November shipping dates for backordered items.

October is Learning Disabilities and ADHD Awareness Month. The Seton-LaCroce Learning Center at Mother Seton School provides an instructional program that provides academic, social, and consultative support to students who experience learning challenges that impact academic success. Follow us on social media, where we will be highlighting information about LD and ADHD and how the SLLC provides support to any student who needs it.

I am also grateful to the LaCroce Family, who will match donations to the Seton-LaCroce Learning Center this month up to $10,000! Please visit bit.ly/sllcgive to make an online donation or contact Jennifer Buchheister via email or by calling 301-447-3165.

First-trimester interim reports and Performance Series Assessment reports will go home with students on Tuesday, October 19.

Have a blessed week!

Sincerely,

Kathleen J. Kilty, PhD
Principal

WANDS FOR WILDLIFE - GREEN SCHOOL COLLECTION

As part of our Green School initiative, middle school science classes are collecting used mascara wands for wildlife!

The wands are shared with wildlife caregivers to use in providing care and treatment to wild animals. They use the wands in many ways including direct care of the animals and help with cleaning items like syringes.

Before you throw your mascara away, please clean off the wand and send it in to Mrs. Kuykendall (Mrs. K). One simple step to help wildlife and be a good steward of the earth!
