Mrs. Mullineaux's Grade 2 students released their fully grown monarch butterflies into the world. Like the monarchs, we encourage our students to learn and grow, and then to spread their wings and fly when they're ready!

The holy Rosary is a powerful weapon. Use it with confidence and you’ll be amazed at the results. Saint Josemaría Escrivá

Dear Families,

I hope this note finds you and your family healthy and well.

We will continue administering the Performance Series Assessment to students this week. I will communicate to you in the next few weeks when you will receive a parent testing report.

Thank you for completing the daily wellness check. Completing the wellness check, wearing masks, washing hands regularly, social distancing, and regular cleaning and disinfecting will help to keep our school community healthy.

Each year, we dedicate the month of October to the Holy Rosary. I encourage you to recite the Rosary daily or weekly together with your family or individually. Praying the Rosary is something most, if not all, of our students are familiar with, as it is a regular part of our faith life at school. But sometimes it helps to have a guide (

To recognize the remarkable efforts of the Catholic school leaders in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Archbishop Lori and the leadership from the Department of Catholic schools has approved a day off for Catholic schools to give faculty, staff, students, and parents a day to relax and recharge. Because we will still be finishing the Performance Series test, we will close Mother Seton School on Friday, October 9. I hope you and your children will enjoy the extended fall weekend.

2020-2021 AOB Income Survey

The AOB will be using a google form survey to collect family income data for the 20-21 school year. This safe and secure electronic income survey will automatically collect a family’s data as they complete the survey and will allow us to collect the number of students eligible for free or reduced fee lunch.

Why is this important? These numbers will not only serve for the Title I submissions, but also can be used for textbook funding, grant requests, and allow for accurate reporting of our free and reduced eligibility at the individual school and county level. EACH FAMILY MUST COMPLETE THE SURVEY regardless of whether you believe you qualify for free or reduced fee lunch or not. Collecting family income data is also a requirement of MSDE and we must do so annually.

Visit to take the survey. The survey takes approximate 2-4 minutes and must be completed by October 15, 2020.
