A Message From The Principal

Dear Families,

I hope you and your children enjoyed a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!

Thank you for your patience and cooperation last week! It was a busy, and unique, start of the school year. PowerSchool manages our SwiftAlert system and unfortunately, it hadn't pushed the most current data to us before last Thursday. This week, we are testing the system to ensure everyone receives the alerts via text, phone, and email. If you do not receive a test alert on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., please notify Terry in the front office.

I look forward to seeing many of you at Back to School Night on Thursday. Please see the information in this newsletter for the evening’s schedule. This evening is for parents only.

On Tuesday, September 14 at 6:30 PM, our first Home and School Association (HSA) meeting will be held in the gymnasium. I hope you will consider attending and discussing the year’s community events. We cannot hope to have the fun events we normally do without people willing to share their time and talents. We also look forward to fresh perspectives and ideas!

The first of three Performance Series Assessments will begin on September 13. Please visit our website for more information on the Performance Series Assessment.

Tomorrow, September 8, band teacher Natalie Gries, will be on campus to introduce the band program. She will meet with all grade 4-8 students, show an introductory video, and provide information on how to join the band. Please encourage your child to join. Weekly band lessons will be held at school with many safety precautions in place. Band Program Info|Instrument Rental

Wednesday, September 8, is also the Feast Day of the Nativity of Mary. There are many ways to celebrate the Holy Mother's birthday with your family. Praying the Rosary and the Hail Mary is a simple, blessed way to give praise to the Mother of God. Or if you have a baker in the family, make a Marian birthday cake. Other ideas can be found at Catholic Icing.

Have a Blessed Week!

Principal

*UPDATE* Car Line Rules & Etiquette

We have a robust enrollment this year! Which means it is IMPERATIVE that morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up run as safely and smoothly as possible. Please adhere to the following and be sure that anyone you designate to pick up your student(s) understands these as well:

Drop-Off

  • GRADES 5-8 STUDENTS will now exit at the Main Entrance to avoid backing up the car line onto Creamery Road. Please pull ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT to drop off your grade 5-8 student.
  • Students MUST exit curbside. Other vehicles will be passing on your left.
  • REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE. There are staff and faculty members to assist your child in exiting the vehicle. If there is an issue with your child leaving the vehicle, please pull forward past the red line or park in the lot and walk your child up.
  • If you walk up to the school, you MUST wear a mask.
  • Masks should be on before exiting the vehicle.
  • Use caution when driving around the circle, especially when passing other vehicles.
  • DO NOT USE YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE IN THE CIRCLE.
  • Please do not engage staff and faculty in conversation from your vehicle while they are on duty. If you need to talk with them, please email or call.

Pick-Up

  • Dismissal starts at 3:00 p.m. with bus riders first.
  • Please display your car rider number so that the staff/faculty member on duty can see it and known whom to call. Do not enter the circle until you have been acknowledged.
  • We ask that you please refrain from arriving prior to 2:40 p.m. If you arrive early, please DO NOT BLOCK Creamery Road. If the number of cars lined up means you would be in the road, please pull into the lot until the line begins to move or you are directed otherwise.
  • Use caution when driving around the circle, especially when passing other vehicles.
  • DO NOT USE YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE IN THE CIRCLE.
  • Children MUST enter vehicles curbside.
  • REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE. Staff, faculty, and safety patrol will assist your child into your vehicle.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

SwiftAlert Test Message

Please be on the lookout for a SwiftAlert test message to be sent to you via email, text, and phone call tomorrow, Wednesday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. If you do not receive any message or do not receive a message via all three means, please notify the front office so we can update the records.

Thank you!
