Tuesday News 8/31/21

Welcome Back! We are excited to once again gather together on campus. Let's make 21-22 the best year yet!

There will no longer be a print version of the Tuesday News. It will be available on the website each Tuesday evening and you will receive an email notification once it is published. The provider we use will not allow us to manually enter emails that have previously been unsubscribed, so if you have previously unsubscribed from any of our mailings, you will need to re-enter your email address. Also, be sure to add advancement@mothersetonschool to your email client’s contact list so the newsletter isn’t caught in a Spam filter.

Prayer Corner

Please Pray For...

Katie Richwine, daughter of former K teacher Connie Richwine, recently diagnosed with a brain tumor

all those affected by Hurricane Ida and the terrible storms of the past summer

the repose of the souls of our service members who were killed in action, and for comfort for their grieving families

all students, faculty, and staff beginning a new school year

for all still suffering the pandemic's effects

Unfortunately, we are unable to have an opening school Mass on Friday, September 3. We will hold our first school Mass as soon as the new St. Joseph’s pastor, Father Bill Allegretto, arrives in Emmitsburg and is available to celebrate Mass for us.

I look forward to seeing many of you on September 9 at Back to School Night.

Sincerely,

There will be no fee due. On the form, please select for Fridays only. For estimated time of pick up, please put 3pm.

If you choose to have your child stay later, you will be charged the hourly amount after 3pm. Please indicate if you will have your child stay later.

Car Line Rules & Etiquette

We have a robust enrollment this year! Which means it is IMPERATIVE that morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up run as safely and smoothly as possible. Please adhere to the following and be sure that anyone you designate to pick up your student(s) understands these as well:

Drop-Off

  • Students MUST exit curbside. Other vehicles will be passing on your left.
  • REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE. There are staff and faculty members to assist your child in exiting the vehicle. If there is an issue with your child leaving the vehicle, please pull forward past the red line or park in the lot and walk your child up.
  • If you walk up to the school, you MUST wear a mask.
  • Masks should be on before exiting the vehicle.
  • Use caution when driving around the circle, especially when passing other vehicles.
  • DO NOT USE YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE IN THE CIRCLE.
  • Please do not engage staff and faculty in conversation from your vehicle while they are on duty. If you need to talk with them, please email or call.

Pick-Up

  • Dismissal starts at 3:00 p.m. with bus riders first.
  • Please display your car rider number so that the staff/faculty member on duty can see it and known whom to call. Do not enter the circle until you have been acknowledged.
  • If you arrive early, please DO NOT BLOCK Creamery Road. If the number of cars lined up means you would be in the road, please pull into the lot until the line begins to move.
  • Use caution when driving around the circle, especially when passing other vehicles.
  • DO NOT USE YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE IN THE CIRCLE.
  • Children MUST enter vehicles curbside.
  • REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE. Staff, faculty, and safety patrol will assist your child into your vehicle.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
