From the Principal's Desk

Dear Families,

I hope this note finds you and your family healthy and well.

As we enter into the final days of the 2020-2021 school year, I would like to provide you with a few 2021-2022 staffing updates. Four Mother Seton School faculty and staff members will not return for the 2021-2022 school year:

· After seven years at Mother Seton School as a religion teacher and assistant principal, Sister Joan Corcoran, D.C., is leaving us and will begin a new mission in the fall. Sister Joan has been an integral part of our Mother Seton School mission to love and serve others. She led our chapter of the Vincentian Marian Youth International Service Organization (VMY), introducing dozens of middle school students to charitable service and inspiring giving within our community.

· Sister Patricia Dunne, D.C., our School Support Liaison, has been missioned to New Orleans, LA. Sister will travel in July and be assigned to a new ministry at that time. The Daughters of Charity have two mission houses in New Orleans; Sister Patricia will live at Felicity House.

· Dr. Cynthia Fraga, our grade 6-8 Spanish teacher, will not return. Dr. Fraga and her family will be relocating to Italy for the academic year to join her husband as he leads Mount St. Mary’s University’s study abroad program.

· Mrs. Kim Benjamin, one of our first-grade aides, will not return in order to spend time with and take care of her two grandchildren, who will be born in the next few weeks. While Mrs. Benjamin will not be working with our first-grade students, we will still see her occasionally on campus volunteering and dropping off or picking up her Kindergarten grandson.

We will miss Sisters Joan and Patricia, Dr. Fraga, and Mrs. Benjamin! Please join me in wishing them well and pray for their health and safety as they move on to their next adventure.

As we say goodbye to the beloved members of the MSS family, we are blessed to welcome Sister Josephine Lomasney, D.C., who has been missioned to Mother Seton School. I will write to you later this month to introduce you to Sister Josephine and to announce new hires and other exciting plans for the 2021-2022 school year.

God bless you and your families.
