It's Showtime for Seton Spirit! For our first virtual week daily theme, we were inspired by the movie TANGLED and asked everyone to show us their wacky hair! Madison (gr 3) really got into the spirit with this pandemic-themed crazy hairdo!

Letter to Parents

Tuesday News delayed until later this week.

Look for it to hit your inboxes on Friday!

A Note from the Principal’s Desk…

Dear Parents,

I hope this note finds you and your family healthy and well.

As a reminder, 8th grade distance learning will conclude on Friday, May 22, and grades Pre-K – 7 distance learning will conclude on Friday, May 29. Teachers will accept all outstanding assignments until Friday, June 5, the final day of the 3rd trimester. Please contact your teacher(s) if you have any questions or concerns regarding outstanding assignments.

Following the announcement that school will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, we are focused on finishing out this school year and planning for the 2020-2021 school year. I would like to take this opportunity to announce one exciting update.

This past February, I asked Lexi Burns if she would be interested in serving as an assistant principal beginning next school year. We discussed the position responsibilities and ways that she could serve our school community in this role, while also continuing to serve as a special education teacher in our Seton-LaCroce Learning Center. I am grateful and excited to announce that after consideration, Mrs. Burns agreed to serve as Mother Seton School Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Burns began her tenure at Mother Seton this school year. I immediately recognized her commitment to the school and most importantly to our students. I also saw that Lexi always found time to work with teachers regarding a student who was in need of extra support in the classroom – even if this student was not one in formal need of the Learning Center. Finally, I recognized the support and respect that Mrs. Burns has gained from our students, parents, and faculty and staff. I believe that her dual role of teacher and administrator will help to make Mother Seton School truly a “School for All”.

Mrs. Burns and I will work together in the next few months to identify priorities specific to her role as Assistant Principal. I will share these with you once they are finalized.

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Burns on this new role, thanking her for saying yes to this opportunity, and praying for her as she begins this new role on July 1.

I look forward to working with Mrs. Burns, our entire faculty and staff, parents, and students as we strive to provide the best possible academic and spiritual education to our students. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Principal

Re-Enrollment/Registration News

Last week, the Board of Directors, with the support of the Daughters of Charity, announced a tuition restructuring plan to help alleviate some of the financial responsibilities for our families during this time of crisis. Please read the complete letter for details.

Additionally, the following message was sent to each family. If you did not receive it, please ensure we have your correct address in the database by emailing admissions@mothersetonschool.org.

  • We already credited each student’s account $150 for the 2020-21 registration fee. If you have not finished registering, the credit will offset the charge when the enrollment is completed.
  • We already credited each student’s account for their May tuition payment. Please email me if you made this payment and wish to have the credit applied to 2020-21.
  • August, September, and October credits and adjustments will be made in similar fashion in the coming month once the financial aid process and enrollment process is completed.
  • Food assistance is available through voucher and/or gift cards for those of you who may be in need. We are finalizing arrangements with Jubilee to make this available directly through the store. Please email us if you need assistance.
  • BOOST deadlines have been extended to June 1st. Please apply asap and let us know when you do. We will contact these families to discuss and assess their financial aid situation.
