A Message From the Principal

Dear Families,

Congratulations to our students on a fantastic Fine Arts Night! The band and chorus wonderfully demonstrated their hard work and practice, and the artwork displayed throughout the school highlighted all of our students’ special talents. Special thanks go to our music teacher, Mrs. Carney, our art teacher, Mrs. Myers, and our band teacher, Mr. Pope.

For centuries, the Catholic Church has set aside the month of May to honor Mary, the Mother of God. One way to honor Mary is to recite the rosary. Praying the rosary is something most, if not all, of our students are familiar with, as it’s a regular part of our faith life at school. But sometimes it helps to have a guide

We will celebrate an all-school Mass and May Crowning on May 26. More information will be provided in next week’s newsletter.

I hope to see many of you at Saturday’s Family Fun Day. Thank you to our Home and School Association for planning the day! Many thanks also to the HSA and Natasha Doan at Cedar Hedge Farm for the beautiful flower sale.

God Bless you and your families!

Good Soil Farm CSA

Join Good Soil Farm's CSA and 10% of CSA sales from Mother Seton School go back to the school!

What is a CSA? It stands for Community Supported Agriculture and it represents a beautiful relationship where the farmers know who they are feeding and the customers know the farmer!

Customers are more than just consumers-they are members of the CSA who commit to supporting the local farm by buying a share of vegetables at the start of the season. Then, each week throughout the season, the members come to the farm and get their share of vegetables that were harvested that week!

We hope to begin harvesting mid-May and the CSA lasts 15 to 22 weeks, depending on the weather.

Our CSA has various sizes available:

Large share (family): $750 for the season

Medium share (couple): $425 for the season

Small share (singles): $250 for the season

Reliquary of St. Bernadette on Tour May 13-15

In May each year, the Knights and Dames of the Federal Association of the Order of Malta take 48 Malades (French for “sick person”) and their Companions to Lourdes France. The Pilgrimage involves Healing Masses, processing with the Blessed Sacrament, washing in the water, and visiting the Grotto where Our Lady appeared to Saint Bernadette. We witness many Miracles including Physical and Spiritual Healing in both mind and body.

The Covid Pandemic has cancelled the last two Pilgrimages. This year, the Lourdes Pilgrimage is coming to the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen for the weekend of May 13th to the 15th. Everyone is welcome to participate in venerating the Relics, participating in the Masses, Confession, Procession and Anointing of the Sick. This is an opportunity to obtain a Plenary Indulgence.

Visit the website for a schedule of Masses and other services.
