As part of their Family Life unit, Mrs. Marr's 5th graders made nests in preparation of a visit from the Easter Bunny to drop an egg. Just before break, the students got to "hatch" their eggs and discovered Peeps for them to "adopt"! They filled out a birth certificate and an All About Me page for their Peep. Creativite teaching not only makes learning fun, but can help make the lessons "stick" with the students!

A Message From the Principal
I hope all of you had a blessed Easter. We are in the final weeks of the school year, and I am sure you’re as excited as I am for all the upcoming events we have!
But first, the final Performance Series Assessment begins this week. In addition to the reading, language, and math assessments, students will also take a science assessment. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions regarding the assessments.
Third-trimester interim reports will be sent home on Tuesday, May 3. Please review the report with your child and contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
Please see the announcements of all of our upcoming events, including Fine Arts Night (May 9), Walk-a-Thon (May 13), and Talent Show (May 16). Thank you to our Home and School Association (HSA) for planning many fun activities for our students and community. The next HSA meeting is on Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30 PM. I hope you will be able to attend.
I would also like to congratulate and thank Mrs. Kuykendall and the Green School committee for all their hard work this year in helping achieve recertification as a Maryland Green School!
Have a blessed week!

Good Soil Farm CSA
Join Good Soil Farm's CSA and 10% of CSA sales from Mother Seton School go back to the school!
What is a CSA? It stands for Community Supported Agriculture and it represents a beautiful relationship where the farmers know who they are feeding and the customers know the farmer!
Customers are more than just consumers-they are members of the CSA who commit to supporting the local farm by buying a share of vegetables at the start of the season. Then, each week throughout the season, the members come to the farm and get their share of vegetables that were harvested that week!
We hope to begin harvesting mid-May and the CSA lasts 15 to 22 weeks, depending on the weather.
Our CSA has various sizes available:
Large share (family): $750 for the season
Medium share (couple): $425 for the season
Small share (singles): $250 for the season
If interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org!

Reliquary of St. Bernadette on Tour May 13-15
In May each year, the Knights and Dames of the Federal Association of the Order of Malta take 48 Malades (French for “sick person”) and their Companions to Lourdes France. The Pilgrimage involves Healing Masses, processing with the Blessed Sacrament, washing in the water, and visiting the Grotto where Our Lady appeared to Saint Bernadette. We witness many Miracles including Physical and Spiritual Healing in both mind and body.
The Covid Pandemic has cancelled the last two Pilgrimages. This year, the Lourdes Pilgrimage is coming to the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen for the weekend of May 13th to the 15th. Everyone is welcome to participate in venerating the Relics, participating in the Masses, Confession, Procession and Anointing of the Sick. This is an opportunity to obtain a Plenary Indulgence.
Visit the website for a schedule of Masses and other services.
