Just before the break, Kindergarten experimented with baking soda, vinegar, and eggs. The result? Fizzy Eggs! For another fun experiment you can try at home, have your child place a raw egg in a jar and cover it with vinegar. Let sit for at least 24 hours, then carefully rinse off the shell for a "naked egg!

From the Principal’s Desk…

Dear Families,

I hope each of you had a blessed Easter and break. It is hard to believe that the conclusion of the 2021-2021 school year is just around the corner.

With our students and faculty refreshed from the break, we are ready to get back in the groove to learn, beginning with the third and final Performance Series Assessment. All grade 1-8 students will take the test the week of April 26. You will receive additional testing information in the next several days. You can find more details about the PSA on our website.

The Archdiocese of Baltimore requires all schools to implement a program of catechesis for family life in accord with Archdiocesan regulations and guidelines. Mother Seton School uses the RCL Benzinger Family Life program to comply with this policy.

RCL Benzinger Family Life is a comprehensive moral catechesis for kindergarten through grade eight students and is designed to complement our school religion program. Each grade includes lessons regarding Christian living, child safety, and healthy relationships. Teachers will begin teaching the ten lessons in the next few weeks.

Parents/guardians may examine any and all of the materials used in this program. Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher to schedule the opportunity to review the course materials.

Thank you for your support as we comply with this Archdiocesan mandate that is in place for all of our children’s safety and well-being.

Sincerely,

Kathleen J. Kilty, PhD
Principal
