The unexpected school closure has presented unique challenges for our students, but also opportunities! Teachers are connecting with students through Google Classroom and other online apps to ensure continuity of learning. If you are unable to connect or experiencing any difficulties, please don't hesitate to reach out!

April 2: Important Update-Please Read
Please read the attached letter regarding tuition and registration policies.
Our campus may be closed, but our learning continues! It has been a big change moving from traditional classroom to distance learning, and we appreciate our families understanding and patience. We are here for you as we continue to move forward! Check out our Learning Page for news and updates.
We want to help!
Has your family suffered a loss of income or other financial hardship due to the ongoing crisis? We want to help! Mother Seton School will offer a gift card program for families in need. If you are in need of a grocery store gift card, please contact Albert Nastasi (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Miss Kilty (email@example.com). We will work to provide you gift cards in the most convenient way possible. This program will be in place throughout the summer and extended if needed.
A Note from the Principal’s Desk…
As we enter into the second week of school closure, I pray that you and your family are safe and healthy. I appreciate your efforts in working with your children to complete assignments. I know that this is a stressful time that includes many pressing worries and concerns. The Mother Seton School faculty and staff are committed to supporting you and your children through this closure and beyond.
During trying times, we look for our faith in God for strength. “He gives us every grace, every abundant grace; and though we are so weak of ourselves, this grace is able to carry us through every obstacle and difficulty,” wrote Mother Seton. These times are extra challenging with churches closed, large gatherings forbidden, and our routines in disarray. I have spent the past two Sundays, and weekdays when I am available, “participating” in online Mass. There are many Masses to choose from, however two of my favorites have been Bishop Robert Barron’s daily 8:15 AM Mass or the 2:00 PM Sunday Mass at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine. If you are unable to “attend” an online Mass, I encourage you to make an act of Spiritual Communion:
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally,
Come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there
And unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.
Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, has asked the world to pray the Our Father with him at 7:00 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday, March 25. Let us join Pope Francis and all Christians throughout the world in saying the Our Father either as a family or individually.
Please contact me if you have any questions, or if I can be of assistance to you. God Bless you and your families!

Due to the uncertainty of the next several weeks, the due date and billing date for tuition payments will be adjusted for families as needed. Please contact Albert Nastasi (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange for an adjusted tuition schedule. If your income is remaining steady at this time, we ask that you continue to make your payments in a timely manner. This will allow us more flexibility in assisting those families who are unable to meet the payment deadlines.
The re-registration deadline will also be adjusted for families as needed. If you are still able to re-register by March 31, please do. This will help in planning the 2020-2021 school year. If you are unable to meet the deadline, please let us know by contacting Albert.
A Night at the Races has been Postponed. Please stay tuned for further information.
Join us April 19th at the VHC Activities Building next door to Mother Seton for a chance to win cash prizes at our next Bingo! Doors open at 1pm, games begin at 2pm. Price based on number of cards purchased; payout based on number of players. Contact Tina Ryder for more info: 301.943.7512.

Pope Francis Prayer for Relief
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
