Daughters of Charity | Come & See | October 25-27, 2019

Frederick County Community Convening

Frederick County is embarking on a process to identify community needs and
recommendations for the well-being of children, youth, and families. Our “Community
Convening” will share data and information on how our county is helping youth and families be
successful in life. You will have an opportunity to help improve the well-being of your family,
your community, and yourself while working along side other community members. Please
come with suggestions and ideas about:

  • THE STRENGTHS AND ASSETS OF OUR COMMUNITY
  • CHALLENGES EXPERIENCED BY YOUTH AND FAMILIES
  • BARRIERS TO IMPROVING SPECIFIC MEASURES OF FAMILY AND YOUTH SUCCESS
  • HOW PARTNERS CAN WORK TOGETHER TO HELP YOUTH AND FAMILIES
  • WHAT SERVICES AND SUPPORTS ARE NEEDED IN FREDERICK COUNTY
  • GREAT IDEAS TO IMPROVE THINGS

Fort Ritchie Community Center Youth Professional Skills Development Program

In partnership with the Maryland Agricultural Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund (MAERDAF), the Fort Ritchie Community Center is hosting a job skills training program to reinforce professional skills critical to succeeding in the workforce.

Topics include:

  • Enthusiasm and Attitude
  • Teamwork
  • Networking
  • Problem solving/Critical thinking
  • Professionalism
  • and More
