Summer Reading Challenge
Keep up your reading skills while having fun this summer! Download our Summer Reading Challenge and color in a seashell for every day you read. There are also bubbles you can color in corresponding to a particular activity. Turn in your signed challenge sheet and every student who colors at least ten seashells will receive a certificate and special recognition. Anyone who fills in all of the bubble activities will also receive an out-of-uniform pass.
Sheets must be returned by Friday, August 29th!

Middle School Summer Reading Assignments
The purpose of summer reading requirements is to support the continued development of vocabulary and reading strategies throughout the summer. (And - most importantly - to enjoy a couple of good books!)
Guidelines
- Summer reading is a required assignment.
- Students must read 2 books from their grade-level lists.
- Students should complete a writing activity for one book and a creative activity for the second book.
- The signed form documenting completion of summer reading can be turned in to the Literature teacher on the first day back to school.

5th Grade Summer Reading Assignment
Overview
The purpose of summer reading requirements is to support the continued development of vocabulary and reading strategies throughout the summer.

- Students must read 1 book from the provided reading list.
- Students must complete the Cereal Box assignment for their chosen book.
- The signed form documenting completion of summer reading should be turned in to the teacher on the first day of school, as well as the Cereal Box assignment.
