Advent is a time of waiting, waiting for the birth of our loving Emmanuel. St. Vincent de Paul offers us a reflection on HOPE during this Advent season that I would like to share with you:
St. Vincent believed that God gives people exactly what they need, and that people should HOPE instead of worrying or comparing themselves to others. He said, “HOPE is a virtue that keeps charity alive and that it helps people turn to God without despairing”. St. Vincent, St Elizabeth Seton, pray for us.
Blessings on this first week of Advent and on your spiritual Advent journey.
“Be not lax in celebrating. Be not lazy in the festive service of God. Be ablaze with enthusiasm!” (Hildegard von Bingen)
