Dismissal and Car Line Procedures

Dismissal can be a chaotic time, and we ask you to please use common sense and courtesy. We kindly ask that you adhere to the following procedures for safety, efficiency, and common courtesy to your fellow parents and staff:

1. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Staff will assist your child in getting into your car.
2. Please DO NOT arrive before 2:45 pm. We cannot block Creamery Rd. Also, students still use the circle and playground until dismissal, making it unsafe and interrupting school day activities such as PE when cars line up too early.
3. All families will be issued an ID number on a large card that must be displayed to the staff on dismissal duty through the vehicle window. If multiple people pick up your child(ren) from school, please ensure all drivers have the ID number.
4. Parents must pick up students in the dismissal car line.
5. Parents may NOT park and enter the school building to wait for students.
6. If you must park to pick up your child(ren), please wait outside in the designated area. This school policy ensures we retain control and visibility of anyone entering our school.
7. For legitimate reasons, parents may request early dismissal up to 2:30 p.m. as described in the Early Departure section of our Parent-Student Handbook. Early dismissal between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. is granted only for extreme emergencies.
8. Cars stay in the lane closest to the curb, not passing other cars unless directed to do so by staff.
9. Students only board and exit cars on the curbside, never on the driver’s side.
10. DO NOT pull away from the curb until all car doors are closed.
