MSS Class of 2017 alumnae Averey Johnson (L), Larisa Tayler (C), and Sydney McCarron (R) received the top academic awards for Frederick County Public Schools at a Ring of Honor ceremony held at their high school, Governor Thomas Johnson High, in Frederick. The awards recognized students who had achieved one or all of the following:

• A cumulative GPA (weighted or unweighted) of 4.0 or higher during their four years of high school
• A cumulative GPA (weighted or unweighted) of 3.5 or higher from grade 6 through grade 12
• Student Scholar-Athletes who maintained a 3.5 GPA (weighted or unweighted) or higher while representing GTJHS in a sport.

Each young woman received all three of these awards. Congratulations to our alumnae! We are so proud!!!
