Giving is Brilliant - Catholic Schools Week Service Project

Cancer Care Collection

To honor the memory of MSS Alum Tommy Laudani, our CSW/January service project will be to collect blank writing journals and lightweight headscarves for cancer patients. We will be collecting through February 7th.

In addition, all proceeds from the annual Have-a-Heart Volleyball Game will go toward the Patient Assistance Fund at the James M Stockman Cancer Institute in Frederick. 100% of these proceeds go to patients in need.

"We Reflect the Brilliance of Catholic Education" Door Decorating Contest

We're showing our brilliance with a friendly competition for Catholic Schools Week! Each class will decorate their doors on the theme, "We Reflect the Brilliance of Catholic Education." Doors will be photographed and posted to our Facebook page starting on Monday. Friends and families are encouraged to like their favorite doors and share the posts. Whichever class has the most likes and shares will be rewarded with a Brilliant Banana Split Bar and 20 minutes extra recess! The winning teacher receives a gift card, as does the winner of the Enrichment/Staff category. We will also be sharing it on Instagram and Twitter, but only the Facebook likes/shares will count as votes. Contest begins Monday, Jan 28th and ends February 1st at 8:00 a.m.

Have-a-Heart Volleyball Game - 8th Grade vs. The Teachers

Our annual charity tradition! $2 donation gets you admission and students may wear jeans and jerseys as they cheer on their favorite team. All proceeds will go toward the Patient Assistance Fund at the James M Stockman Cancer Institute in Frederick. Our goal is $500!
