MOTHER SETON SCHOOL GREEN SCHOOL INITIATIVE

Blessed and dedicated to the Students and staff of Mother Seton School
and the Emmitsburg Community.

Thanks to numerous hours of work clearing the path, and months of study about the native plant and animal life along the rill, the MSS community celebrated the grand opening of Willow Rill Nature Trail with a blessing, naming, dedication, and procession.

The beauty and silence of the trail captured the attention of all 389 students and their teachers as they followed Pastor Greenstone along the trail, marveling at the wild flowers, clear running water, and soft grass. Everyone  was introduced to the wild honey bee nest by Audrey Hillman.

Special thanks to Mr. Gordon Love, Ms. Jayne Breighner, Sr. Catherine Francis, and Mrs. Danielle Kuykendall,  who conceived the project, attended to every detail, and gathered numerous environmental leaders to forward the project.
