Impossible?
NO! –Thanks to our Homeroom Parents we believe contributions to our Annual
Giving Appeal will increase 50-fold this year! Responding to my
invitation, 13 of the 27 homeroom parents met in November and contributed their
piece of the “wisdom” to find ways to increase participation and contributions
to the Appeal. The newly formed Development Committee of the Board reviewed
these ideas, added some of their own, and finally hammered out a plan to achieve
wider participation by Board, staff , parents, alumni, businesses, and friends
of Mother Seton School.
Possible? YES! We believe that every contribution counts! Homeroom parents appreciate the fact that every parent is already doing so much to support the school, through your tuition payments, volunteer work, participating in events and fund raisers. Yet they believe every family can and will participate once you know how important participation is to our success.
Please do your part! You will be receiving a letter this week asking for your contribution, be it as small as the cost of a weekly snack item, or as large as your heart dictates and family can afford . Gratefully!

Frequently Asked Questions about Annual Giving
Ø Why should I support the Annual Giving Appeal at Mother Seton School?
Annual Giving is a personal decision and an important way to demonstrate your continued investment in Mother Seton School. Ultimately, your participation in Annual Giving confirms what was, is now, and what will be our future. Any gift you make will contribute to a sense of partnership and pride.
Ø How much should I give?
You determine the size and designation of your tax-deductible gift according to your own charitable interests, your personal willingness to give, and your financial capacity. No gift is too small.
Ø What can I give to?
You have many choices. Many donors choose to make an unrestricted gift—not restricted for a specific purpose and therefore directed where the need is greatest or most urgent. Unrestricted gifts also enable Mother Seton School to take advantage of unexpected opportunities. Other donors choose to designate their gifts to a specific purpose: academic program, expansion project, or scholarship fund.
Ø How can I give?
If you received an Annual Giving response envelope, please return it to the Office of Institutional Advancement. If you wish to receive an Annual Giving envelope, contact the Development Office by calling 301.447.3165 or emailing cbush@mothersetonschool.org. Your gift to Mother Seton School can be made by:
· check (payable to the MSS Annual Giving Appeal)
· credit card
· appreciated securities and bonds
· bequests
· life insurance
By the way, cash is accepted but not advised to be sent through the mail.
Ø Who will know about my gift?
Participation in the campaign is your choice. You will receive an acknowledgment from Mother Seton School but the amount of your gift will remain confidential to others.
