    Class Rules and Discipline Policy

*Remember the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

*Enter the room quietly with a positive attitude.

 *Be prepared for each class with a pencil, paper, folder with notes, and any assignments you may need to turn in to me.  Grade 3 should bring recorders, recorder books, and folders.

*Enjoy the quiet of the room and play your instrument or talk only when invited.   Misuse of instruments will result in losing the privilege to play on that day.

*If the class needs to be quieted quickly, you will hear a bell, music or Mrs. Carney will raise a hand in the air and count from 5 to zero.  Please be prepared to get quiet quickly as there may be an announcement or an emergency.

*Primary and intermediate students who disrupt the class will be reported to their teacher.

*Middle school students who disrupt the class will receive a warning. If the behavior persists, a signature will be the consequence of that behavior.

Class rules:

1. Follow directions.
2. Bring your materials to class.
3. Keep hands, feet, objects and unkind remarks to yourself.
4. Raise your hand to speak.
5. Be an active listener.
6. Leave the room only for emergency bathroom visits and drinks.  
7. Have a good attitude.
