The Pre-K Program is a half-day from 8:25-11:15. Extended Day is available from 11:15 to 2:45 when the rest of the school dismisses. For parents with after school care needs, we offer a loving, warm environment run by our teachers and staff in our After Care from 2:45pm - 6:00 pm.
• To instill a sense of respect and value that each person is special in the eyes of God.
• To instill in each child a desire to learn and explore.
• To assist in the holistic growth of each child, to include their intellectual, social, physical, cultural and religious development.
• To reinforce a broad appreciation that art, music, and stories are both fun and a part of learning.
• To develop the self-esteem of each child.
• To develop a sense of personal responsibility.
Mother Seton School PreK instruction is based upon the curriculum guidelines of the Archdiocese of Baltimore for Early Child Education. The program for four-year-olds is designed to develop in the young child a curiosity and love for learning and a positive attitude toward school while preparing the child for kindergarten.
It instills in the child an appreciation of God's all embracing love and provides opportunities for the child to deepen the sense of God's presence in self, others, and the world. Students enjoy learning letters and phonics, numbers and arithmetic, cultures from around the world, and much, much more! The Prayer Partners Program is another favorite with the Pre-K children, as they are paired up with one or more 5th grade Prayer Partners who join in special activities and events.
Students attend five days weekly. Classes end at 11:15 a.m. Parents have an option to enroll children in extended day until school dismisses at 2:45 p.m. or in full care until 6:00 p.m. Students remaining for extended day have the option to purchase hot lunch or to bring a packed lunch. All students bring snack for mid-morning.

Mother Seton School Faculty, Support Staff and Volunteers meet requirements of the Archdiocese of Baltimore for Child Protection including training and background checks. A medical professional staffs the Health Room throughout the school day. School doors are secure and the Pre-K and Kindergarten have a dedicated fenced playground with access from their classrooms. A classroom intercom provides access to the office and health room staff for teachers. |
