Intermediate grades follow the course of Study of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Classes are self-contained with the possibility of some specialization of instruction at the grade level. Students participate in art, library, computer, music, and physical education instruction with teachers who specialize in these fields.
In third grade, a student begins to receive letter grades and these grades become available for parents to routinely monitor electronically through the Power School program. Power School is available for students through eighth grade. Students may now be eligible for the Honor Roll and Awards of Academic Excellence.
The Prayer Partner Program continues through Grade 3 with students being paired up each year with older students. In Grade 4, students have their first opportunity to become the "big" Prayer Partners, mentoring the children of Pre-K. In Grade 5, students mentor Kindergartners.
Students in Grade 4 have the opportunity to join the Instrumental Music & Band, Chorus, and / or Yearbook Clubs. These activities are open to students in grades 4-8.
